NIIT Learning Systems Ltd has acquired all of Bluewater Learning, LLC, a partner in strategic learning and talent transformation, for an aggregate consideration of up to $17.6 million, according to BusinessLine. The deal was closed through NIIT Learning’s wholly owned subsidiary, NIIT (USA), Inc., and the price includes performance-based earnouts spread over the next five years, subject to customary adjustments set out in the definitive agreements.

The transaction was one of several developments listed for investors as Indian markets headed into the October 30 session, BusinessLine reported. Mint put the broader picture in context: GIFT Nifty pointed to a near-flat open near 23,038, down about 15 points, after the Sensex added 905.01 points, or 1.24%, to close at 74,151.04 on Thursday and the Nifty 50 gained 237.90 points, or 1.05%, to end at 22,936.75.

Key facts

  • NIIT Learning funded the Bluewater Learning purchase through NIIT (USA), Inc., with consideration of up to $17.6 million including earnouts over five years.
  • Sagility B.V., the promoter of Sagility India, was reported to be preparing a 12% block sale worth around ₹2,377 crore at ₹42.45 a share, a 5% discount to Thursday’s close.
  • DIPAM said the second IDBI Bank strategic disinvestment bidding round was run under a procedure set by the Core Group of Secretaries on Disinvestment; the first round, held in FY2025-26, was not approved and ceased to have effect.
  • NBCC sold about 8.80 lakh sq ft of flats at Avenue Towers, Africa Avenue Marg, Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi through an e-auction at a total sale value of roughly ₹5,191 crore, earning a 1% marketing fee.
  • RVNL received a letter of award worth ₹55 lakh from the Ministry of External Affairs to prepare a detailed project report for a Professional and Technical Education Centre in Seychelles, per both outlets.

NBCC auction beats reserve by wide margin

The Sarojini Nagar e-auction drew an average sale rate close to 60% above the reserve price of ₹37,161 per sq ft, with the top bid at ₹89,061 per sq ft, according to BusinessLine. NBCC’s marketing fee of 1% of the sale value applies to the transaction.

OnMobile Global also disclosed a strategic distribution partnership with Savex Technologies, one of India’s leading ICT distributors, to widen retail, e-commerce and quick-commerce availability of its ONMO+ Smart Console in India. The company described the arrangement as a step in its effort to establish ONMO+ as a consumer gaming product.

IDBI Bank bid round and Q2 results

DIPAM said the reserve price for IDBI Bank was neither raised nor lowered for the second round, which it also calls the best offer round, and that the procedure was fixed by the CGD, which the CCEA empowered to resolve procedural issues and deviations. The first round took place in FY2025-26 and its bids were not approved, leaving that round functus officio.

Mint reported that Reliance Industries, Jio Platforms, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries, Bharat Electronics, Indian Oil Corporation, Varun Beverages and GAIL were scheduled to release Q2 2026 results the same day. Among Thursday’s results, Trent’s consolidated net profit rose 25.3% year on year to ₹468.09 crore, Suzlon Energy’s profit fell 69% to ₹394 crore even as revenue climbed 26% to ₹4,869 crore on record quarterly wind turbine deliveries of 710 MW, and InterGlobe Aviation, which runs IndiGo, narrowed its consolidated net loss to ₹1,879 crore from ₹2,582 crore, though the loss widened from ₹237 crore in the June quarter. Vedanta Power posted a profit after tax of ₹83 crore against a net loss of ₹1,688 crore a year earlier, and Vedanta Oil and Gas reported a 21% sequential decline in profit to ₹746 crore.

Why it matters

The NIIT Learning deal extends consolidation among corporate learning providers, while NBCC’s auction result shows continued demand for redeveloped Delhi housing even at prices well above reserve. The IDBI Bank process matters because a completed stake sale would change the lender’s ownership structure, and the confirmation that the reserve price was left untouched signals the government’s pricing stance going into the best offer round. The Sagility block deal, if executed, would enlarge the free float of the India-listed entity.

What to watch

Investors will track the Q2 2026 results due from Reliance Industries, Jio Platforms and the other scheduled companies, the outcome of the IDBI Bank best offer round, and confirmation of whether the Sagility block trade is executed at the reported price.
