The5ers has launched a Model Context Protocol (MCP) integration that lets clients connect their evaluation and Pro accounts to AI assistants including ChatGPT and Claude, according to Financemagnates.

The prop trading firm said connected assistants get read-only access to information from active accounts. Users can use natural-language prompts to pull performance figures, trading parameters and evaluation progress without logging into the platform and running calculations by hand.

Key facts

  • The5ers launched an MCP integration connecting evaluation and Pro accounts to AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude.
  • Connected assistants can read account performance, risk parameters, drawdowns, evaluation requirements and payout eligibility conditions.
  • The integration cannot place or modify orders, submit payout requests or change account settings.
  • FundedNext launched an MCP server in July 2025 giving AI tools read-only access to account performance, payouts and trading rules.
  • TradingView introduced an MCP server in beta earlier in September 2026, exposing market data and platform functions but not broker balances, positions or order execution.

How the connection works

MCP offers a common method for AI applications to reach external data and services. The5ers is using it to surface account information inside general-purpose AI tools, rather than building a proprietary chatbot or dashboard.

The firm said the setup can produce what it calls “Real-Time Performance Audits,” a view of the status of active accounts and the requirements a user still needs to meet. It also lets an assistant explain evaluation rules and thresholds, which may reduce the time traders spend interpreting rulebooks.

The5ers is providing setup documentation and integration guides for clients connecting their AI tools to the service.

Read-only by design

The first version stops short of letting AI assistants take action on an account. According to The5ers, connected systems cannot open or modify positions, request withdrawals or adjust account settings, and trading controls stay with the user.

The5ers said the read-only structure lets users retrieve and interpret account information without handing AI tools control of their accounts. That choice mirrors what other firms have done: FundedNext’s server was also limited to read access, and TradingView left broker balances, positions and order execution out of its MCP tools.

Why it matters

Prop firms compete on transparency as much as on funding terms, and evaluation rules and payout conditions are frequent sources of client disputes. Pushing that information into everyday AI assistants makes it easier for traders to check where they stand, while the read-only limit keeps the firm out of the position of letting a language model trade a funded account. For The5ers, the move follows a pattern set by FundedNext and TradingView over the past 14 months, as the trading industry treats MCP as a standard way to feed account data into AI tools.

What to watch

Whether The5ers keeps the integration read-only or later allows account actions, and whether other prop firms follow with their own MCP servers, are the immediate questions. The company has pointed users to its setup documentation and integration guides for connecting AI clients.
